WordPress, built the way it should be
WordPress powers a large share of the web and deserves less of the scorn it gets from developers. What deserves the scorn is how it is usually implemented: a commercial theme, a page builder, twenty-five plugins, and a site that takes eight seconds to load on a phone.
We build custom themes to your design, with a deliberately small plugin footprint and content structured so editors can work without breaking layouts.
What we do
Custom theme development. Built from your design rather than fighting a commercial theme’s assumptions. Blocks and fields configured so the editing experience matches how your team actually writes.
Performance work. Most slow WordPress sites are slow for identifiable, fixable reasons. We profile rather than guess, and we will tell you when the honest fix is a rebuild rather than another caching layer.
WooCommerce. Product structure, checkout customisation, payment and shipping integration, and the performance work that large catalogues demand.
Security hardening. Sensible file permissions, login protection, update discipline and monitoring. Most WordPress compromises exploit known vulnerabilities in outdated plugins — the fix is unglamorous and effective.
Migration. Onto WordPress, or off it. Moving off requires care with URL structure and redirects so search rankings survive the transition.
When we will tell you not to use WordPress
If your project involves complex user roles, significant business logic, heavy data relationships or a genuine application interface, WordPress will fight you at every step. You will end up with a fragile stack of plugins approximating what a custom build would have done cleanly, and it will cost more over five years.
We build both, so we have no incentive to push you toward the wrong one.
