Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information HN Coders collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the quote form or email us, we receive the details you provide — typically your name, email address, company, country, and your description of the project.

Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested. These are used for security and troubleshooting.

What we do with it

We use the information you submit to:

• Reply to your enquiry and discuss your project
• Prepare proposals and estimates
• Maintain records of our business correspondence

We do not add enquiry contacts to a marketing mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.

Legal basis

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we process enquiry data on the basis of legitimate interest — responding to a request you initiated — and, where a project proceeds, to take steps toward entering a contract at your request.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a project are retained for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted. Records relating to active or completed client work are retained for as long as needed to fulfil the engagement and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We use third-party services to operate this site and our business, including web hosting and email providers. These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to deliver their service. We do not transfer your information to anyone else without your instruction, unless we are legally required to.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your colour theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage on your device, and is never transmitted to us. If we add analytics in future, this policy will be updated before it goes live.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Where GDPR applies you also have the right to object to processing, to request restriction, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Security

Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. We limit access to enquiry data to the people who need it to respond to you. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected individuals if a breach occurs that is likely to present a risk to them.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted.
