HN Coders

A small team that has shipped genuinely large systems.

HN Coders is a full-stack engineering team based in Mohali,Punjab, working with companies in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. We build the kind of software where getting the architecture right actually matters.

What we actually do

Most of our work is platforms rather than pages: systems with real business logic, multiple user types with different permissions, and data models complex enough that getting them wrong early is expensive to fix later.

Our largest platform is a pharmacy delivery system serving four separate portals — patients, clinics, pharmacies and doctors — with a complete prescription audit trail, a clinic wallet with transaction ledgers, and a structured pharmacy verification workflow. It runs to 1,184 database migrations and 425 domain models, and it is still under active development.

That last part matters more than the size. Plenty of teams can build the first three months of a platform. The difference shows up in month eighteen, when a client asks for something the original design never anticipated, and the answer is either "a few days" or "we would have to rewrite that."

Why healthcare taught us the most

A good deal of our work has been in regulated healthcare, and it changed how we build everything else. When an audit trail is a legal requirement rather than a nice-to-have, "it probably worked" stops being an acceptable answer. You design for provability: every state change recorded with actor and timestamp, every permission enforced at the API rather than hidden in the interface, every migration reproducible from an empty database.

That standard is not exclusive to healthcare. It is just that healthcare does not let you skip it.

How we work

Four things we hold to

We tell you when you are wrong

Including when the honest answer costs us the sale. If a feature will not pay for itself, if your budget does not match your scope, or if you need a different kind of team — you will hear it early, while it is still cheap to act on.

Estimates are commitments, not marketing

We would rather quote a number we can hold than win the work with an optimistic one and renegotiate in month three. Where there is genuine uncertainty, we say where it is and what would resolve it.

The codebase is a deliverable

Not just the running application. Tests, documentation, deployment runbooks and readable structure, because the real cost of software is everything that happens after launch.

You talk to engineers

No account manager relaying technical questions to someone who is not on the call. The people writing your code are the people you speak to.

Questions

About working with us

Where is HN Coders based?
We are based in Mohali, Punjab, India, and work with clients across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and India.
How do you handle working across timezones?
We agree overlap hours before the project starts and hold to them. For US and UK clients that typically means a guaranteed window each day where we are available for calls and quick decisions, so you are never blocked waiting a full day for an answer.
How large is the team?
We are a small senior team rather than a large agency with a thin layer of senior people on top. That means you get direct access to experienced engineers, and it means we take on fewer projects at once than a larger firm would.
What kind of projects do you take on?
Work where the engineering actually matters — platforms with real business logic, complex permissions, regulatory requirements or significant data relationships. We also build marketing sites, and we are honest when a project is simple enough that a smaller or cheaper option would serve you better.

Tell us what's not working.

A few sentences is enough. We'll come back within one working day with what we'd build, what it would cost and how long it would take.

No sales sequence. One reply from a person.
